Five years ago, Fenix Alma Solutions was founded on a simple belief: health sciences education deserved better.

We envisioned a future where institutions would no longer need to piece together disconnected platforms to manage the complexities of health sciences education. Instead, they could rely on one comprehensive, purpose-built solution designed around their needs.

Five years later, we’re proud to say that what began as a vision is becoming a reality.

Five Years of Progress, Partnership, and Purpose

As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting not only on how far we’ve come, but on the extraordinary trust that institutions across North America have placed in us.

In 2026, we’ve welcomed at least one new institutional partner every month, continuing a remarkable period of growth for VidaNovaVLE®, our unified platform for health sciences education.

Each new partnership represents more than another institution choosing our technology. It represents a shared commitment to improving how health sciences education is delivered, managed, and experienced.

We’re especially grateful to the institutions that have embraced our vision, challenged us to think bigger, and helped shape VidaNovaVLE® into the platform it is today.

Our partner-driven approach has always been central to our identity. We don’t believe institutions should have to reshape their educational models to accommodate the limitations of their technology. We believe technology should evolve to support the institutions it serves.

And that belief continues to guide everything we do.

As a proudly Canadian company, one of our most meaningful achievements has been earning the trust of all three of Canada’s newest medical schools.

Going three for three is a milestone that carries particular significance for our team. These institutions have an opportunity to build their educational technology environments from the ground up, and we’re honoured that they’ve chosen VidaNovaVLE® as part of that foundation.

South of the border, our momentum continues to accelerate.

This year, we’ve welcomed our first Ivy League institutional partner, marking another significant step in our growth within the United States. We’re also seeing VidaNovaVLE® expand beyond individual programs into broader implementations across multiple health sciences faculties and disciplines.

This evolution is particularly exciting because it speaks directly to the vision that inspired Fenix Alma in the first place: a truly unified platform capable of supporting the diverse and interconnected needs of health sciences education.

From medicine to physical therapy, physician assistant education, dentistry, and beyond, we’re demonstrating that institutions don’t need more disconnected systems. They need one that brings everything together.

Building Momentum at Home

While our success with Canada’s newest medical schools is a tremendous source of pride, we also recognize that meaningful technological change within established institutions takes time.

Replacing deeply embedded systems, navigating complex procurement processes, and aligning the needs of multiple academic and administrative stakeholders are not small undertakings.

We understand that. And we’re prepared for it.

Our recent participation at ICAM and the International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE) has reinforced our optimism about the Canadian market. We’re seeing growing interest, more substantive conversations, and an increasing number of institutions exploring what a transition to a unified platform could look like.

For us, this represents meaningful progress.

We’re patient enough to recognize that institutional transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but ambitious enough to believe that the future of Canadian health sciences education can be better.

We’re ready to help institutions at home consolidate their technology environments, reduce administrative inefficiencies, and deliver a more intuitive, connected experience for learners, faculty, and administrators alike.

Looking Beyond North America

Our ambitions have never been limited by geography.

As VidaNovaVLE® continues to mature, our sights are set on greater diversification across health sciences disciplines and expansion into new international markets.

Looking ahead to 2027, we’re particularly excited about our planned participation in AMEE 2027 in Helsinki, Finland, where we’ll have the opportunity to introduce VidaNovaVLE® to a broader international audience and begin building meaningful relationships within the European health sciences education community.

We recognize that institutions around the world face many of the same challenges we’ve been working to address across North America: fragmented technology environments, growing administrative demands, and the need for more connected, efficient educational experiences.

As we prepare to bring our partnership-driven approach to new markets, we’re eager to learn from institutions across Europe, understand their unique needs, and explore how VidaNovaVLE® can support their educational goals.

Five years in, what began as a Canadian vision is steadily becoming a global ambition.

Five years is a relatively short time to challenge long-established approaches to educational technology.
